It is with sadness I watched on Thursday May 6, as the Citadel Mews West seniors residence burned. The staff of Christenson Communities did a fantastic job ensuring residents were swiftly and safely evacuated.
I work with many senior residences, helping my older adults manage their housing transitions. Yesterday I expected to share some of the most needed items my senior followers, and the social media shares quickly escalated further than I expected.
It was great to see the community rally for these seniors and tragic circumstances.
As Christenson Communities works with their families and residents – I have taken down the list provided to me by a staff member. They are continuing to look at what is needed by residents and will update me if there is anything else they need. Let’s give them the time and space to get their residents settled.
